Is this a credit card offer?
No. Truist One Checking is a bank deposit account. We include it separately from credit cards so you can tell the products apart.
Is the promotional reward automatic?
No. To earn the $500 reward, eligible new clients must use a valid promo code when opening the account, then receive at least 2 qualifying direct deposits totaling $2,000 or more and complete at least 20 qualifying debit card purchases within 120 days. All required transactions must post in that period. Opening an account alone does not qualify you.
Can an existing client qualify?
You are not eligible if you are the primary holder of an existing Truist personal checking account or closed one on or after July 14, 2025. The primary account holder must be at least 18. Read Truist’s current terms for all exclusions.
